The Problem

The request was to focus on increasing knowledge, application, and translation of technology utilizing a sample micro-simulation, focusing on one technology that would be a series spanning multiple technologies. Our team designed an experience that immersed the participant into a scenario to test their knowledge resulting in receipt of immediate feedback.

My Role

As the User Experience Designer,  I managed the prototype, branding, and overall product experience. Due to time constraints, utilizing rapid prototyping was the swiftest solution to produce the desired results.

understand the user

Using client data to answer the question: How is the participant going to effectively understand, apply, and translate this information about technology? Additionally, how can we create a learning model that works no matter the scenario, so even when outside the program, the participant will naturally discover, gain knowledge and be able to communicate the information effectively.

look and feel

Taking the customer’s specific look and feel, I was able to elevate the program to exceed customer expectations.

Lessons learned

Rapid prototyping is EVERYTHING. (Marshmallow Challenge: Make sure that the marshmallow's weight can be held the dry spaghetti before you run out of time!). This was another time-constrained project. We were able to design the program in one week versus the normal three-week duration with robust high-quality results.
